UPDATE | Vrouw (27) uit België overleden na zwaar ongeval N69 Riethoven
RIETHOVEN – Het slachtoffer dat zwaargewond raakte na een frontale aanrijding op de Westparallel in Riethoven is overleden. De politie laat weten dat het gaat om een 27-jarige vrouw uit het Belgische Pelt.
Het ongeval gebeurde rond 17:00 uur. De auto belandde op de verkeerde rijbaan en kwam in botsing met een tegemoetkomende auto. De ravage op de weg na het ongeval was enorm. De hulpdiensten werden groots gealarmeerd. De brandweer kwam ter plaatse om het slachtoffer uit haar benarde positie te bevrijden. De traumahelikopter landde naast het ongeval.
De politie laat via X (Twitter) weten dat het slachtoffer een 27-jarige vrouw is uit het Belgische Pelt. De politie en de Verkeersongevallenanalyse (VOA) van de politie doen onderzoek naar de toedracht van het ongeval. De weg blijft zeker nog tot 21:30 uur afgesloten.
Een berger heeft de twee zwaar beschadigde auto’s afgesleept.
